Tee: Madewell // Vest: Vintage Burberry, similar here, here, & here// Jeans: AG // Wedges: White House, Black Market (on sale!), similar here & here // Earrings: Kate Spade // Necklace: Slate, similar here & here // Bracelet: House of Harlow 1960 // Sunnies: BCBG
You know that your BFF truly loves you when she gifts you vintage pieces like this wool Burberry vest! I also received the matching blazer, but it’s been a little hot for that lately. For a casual Sunday evening last weekend (to watch Game of Thrones, of course!), I paired the vest with a white tee, distressed jeans, & some gorgeous gold jewelry from my latest Rocksbox. I’ve worn the vest & blazer over a white button-down, with some delicate jewelry, for work.
In a time of mass-produced fashion, it’s rare to walk into a room wearing a piece that you know no one else will have on. It’s so much fun to have a story about how you collected each piece, especially if you knew the previous owner, & to know that you will pass these pieces & their stories down. I have several vintage pieces, like this one, that belonged to my BFF’s grandmother, who had amazing style! Even if you don’t have a friend or relative to leave you vintage styles, there are so many places online to find vintage pieces or current pieces that you will be able to pass down.
Here are some of my favorite places to score luxury consignment & vintage pieces:
The Real Real: I use this site the most. They have an amazing selection of designer clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, & art. All pieces are guaranteed to be authentic.
Luxe DH: Huge selection of consignment bags like Louis Vuitton & Chanel. The site also has designer watches, shoes, & accessories.
Amuze: Amazing selection of new, discounted designer pieces. Be sure to check out the daily deal!
Trendlee: Great for designer handbags in like-new condition. You can shop collections curated by some of your favorite fashionistas & bloggers.
