It’s Hump Day guys! Whew! Is anyone else having trouble settling back into work after the holidays? After almost two weeks of relaxing, tackling some small projects, food, & family time, it’s been hard to get back into a steady routine. Plus, it’s another short week for me, which doesn’t help make me feel like I’m back on a regular schedule. As some of you know, I serve as the membership advisor for my college’s ZTA chapter & I’m off to Atlanta on Friday for leadership & officer training with some of the girls. I’m so excited to get to know the new officers better, pick up some new ideas from other advisors, & start planning fall recruitment. I’m not the best flier, so wish me luck!
This shirt dress has become a closet staple for me. It’s lightweight & layers perfectly so I get year-round wear out of it. It’s a crepe material that packs very well & doesn’t wrinkle easily. The dress fits TTS, I’m wearing a size S for reference. The v-neck is flattering, but not too low-cut. For work during colder weather, it pairs beautifully with boots & a jacket. I’d also pair with heels & a cardigan for a slightly dressier look. For weekends, I can just throw on sandals & look pulled together for lunch or running errands. It’s regularly under $50, but right now it’s on sale for under $30!
I took the plunge & splurged on a Neverfull MM in the summer of 2016. When I was looking through these pictures, I realized that I have never done a review of it, even though it’s my most asked-about bag. While it was definitely a major purchase for me, I am so happy with my decision 2 1/2 years later. I purchased my bag pre-owned from Trendlee, now ReBag, which was a great way to save money & still get a bag that was in great condition. It is such a great investment piece because it is classic & versatile. It’s one of those designer bags that is never going out of style. I was actually shocked to realize that prices have actually gone up over the last few years, even on preowned Neverfull bags.
The Neverfull has a coated canvas exterior that holds up wonderfully to frequent use, a fabric interior, leather trim, & gold hardware. Sometimes I’ll add a tassel or pom charm to give the bag a little pizzazz! It has one interior zipper pocket, which is a must to carry those little bits that you don’t want getting lost in the bottom of the bag. I have the “MM” size, which is the medium size bag, in Monogram Canvas. For reference, I’m 5’4″, & don’t feel like it overwhelms me, but holds everything I need & more. It’s a great, everyday tote bag size. It will literally get too heavy for me to comfortably carry all day before I can fill it up.
