See It, Love It, Want It

See It.  Christmas is next week, but I have a ton of holiday events to still attend, each with its own dress code.  Thanks to InStyle, you can let the always on-point Amal Clooney show you How to Decipher Party Dress Codes, from “black-tie” to “festive.”  In Louisiana, Mardi Gras season follows the holiday season, so I’ll be referring to this article for the next few months.

Love It.  Next week, I’ll be sharing some of our favorite holiday traditions.  For now, I’ll just say that I love the holiday season.  Thanksgiving tends to be forgotten now, since stores begin putting Christmas decor out in October, but I love the family atmosphere of Thanksgiving dinner.  After dinner, there is football to watch & we pull out the holiday decor.  It’s my favorite part of the holidays!

Want It.  Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my animals.  The cat can drive me crazy at times, but he’s a sweetheart underneath the constant destruction.  Silhouette art is a staple in the south, I think everyone here has one from their childhood, but Minted now lets you take that tradition & apply it to your fur-babies too!  You just send them a profile picture of your pet (or child) & they turn it into a custom piece of art.  They come in printed, foil-pressed, or letter-pressed, with or without text, & in a variety of colors.  Now I just need to get the animals to sit still long enough for a profile shot!
