Good afternoon all! We’ve been back from vacation for a week now & I feel like it’s taken that long to settle in. I was pleasantly surprised to find my desk fairly clear when I got back to work, so I wasn’t too far behind. My birthday was Saturday, so we spent the weekend relaxing & celebrating. Friday night was dinner with my parents at Chianti, my favorite restaurant in town. I love having my parents so close & being able to spend time with them. On Saturday, Patrick took me to get my guacamole fix for lunch, then some of my best girlfriends came over for champs & crawfish (I know it sounds like an awful combo, but it’s really so good!), & we ended up playing Codenames until late in the night. I am not used to being up that late anymore, so I slept in on Sunday, then Patrick’s parents cooked some of my favorite foods for dinner. All in all, a pretty great birthday weekend!
This is the only complete look that we shot while on the cruise, we were too busy enjoying ourselves! I wore this off the shoulder chiffon top from 1.state to explore Costa Maya, Mexico on day 5 of our cruise. I’ll have a complete review of our trip next week, but this lightweight top was perfect for looking cute, while being out in the heat. And man, was Costa Maya hot! This top is fairly sheer, so a good nude bra is a must. I can already see myself wearing this top on repeat for date nights or dinner with the girls this summer. It’s going to be so cute paired with white jeans or a black skirt! For exploring the port of Costa Maya, I paired it with denim shorts & my trusty Miller sandals. The Tory Burch Miller sandals are a splurge, but I knew that they would be worth the money in a go-with-everything neutral, sand patent. They are my most-worn sandals during the spring & summer, & have lasted several seasons while still looking like new.
