Well, this has certainly not been the 2020 I expected! Louisiana entered quarantine on March 16 & entered Phase 1 of re-entry last Friday (May 15). I was very lucky that I was able to continue working from home for the duration. There have been ups & downs, & my anxiety definitely hasn’t made this any easier, but we’ve made the best of it through Zoom calls with friends & family. I had planned a big party for my 39th birthday at the beginning of May, but that was out of the question, so I spent a few evenings staggering visits from close friends. While it wasn’t the celebration I envisioned, it was wonderful to spend some quality time with my best friends. The weekend after my birthday, Patrick took me to the cutest AirBnb cabin on Cross Lake for a quick getaway. It was so nice to get out of the house for a weekend, even if we were still practicing social distancing. How have you been dealing with the stay-at-home order?
I brought this lightweight, easy-to-wear sweater to the lake with me. It comes in 4 colors, including a bright red & a neutral khaki, & it’s a steal at under $25. For reference, I’m wearing a medium. Because the sweater is a somewhat open weave & the v-neck is low enough to fall off of my shoulder, I put a pretty lace bralette underneath it. I found this lace bralette at Pink Lily. It’s really comfortable & comes in 9 colors. For reference, I’m wearing a large but probably could wear a medium. This casual look would be great for whatever you have planned for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, whether it’s staying at home or getting out to the lake. I’m sharing more Memorial Day inspiration below!
