Happy Thursday friends! After a dreary day yesterday, the clouds have cleared out & it is a beautiful day! It’s been a busy week at work, but we have lots of fun things planned to unwind this weekend. I’ve talked some about PEP! The Pet Education Project here & we’ll be hosting a PEP! Rally & dance party to kick off a fundraising partnership with Holy Angels Residential Facility on Friday afternoon. Then dinner with my parents (our weekly Friday night tradition) & a Shreveport Mudbugs hockey game! Saturday afternoon is Cork, an annual wine festival, with some of my best girlfriends. The weather is supposed to be amazing, so I’m looking forward to catching up, enjoying trying lots of good wine, & tasting food from some of the best restaurants in town!
Another day, another bell sleeve! Surprisingly, this is turning out to be right up there with blush as my favorite trends for spring. I still love a good off-the-shoulder top or dress, but they’re not as versatile for me since I can’t really wear them for work. The boat neck of this top is universally work-appropriate & was ideal to show off the gorgeous statement necklace that I received in my latest Rocksbox. (If you’re interested in trying Rocksbox, use the code AMYBFF597 to get your first month free!) The top is a soft jersey knit & has a ribbed texture, so it’s very comfortable but also figure-flattering – win-win! I paired the black top with crisp white jeans & black sandals because a look built of solid pieces is instantly chic & always looks pulled together! Let’s chat about these heels for a moment. They look so much like the more pricey Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals, but are under $100! I have them in black & nude. A minimalist sandal lengthens your legs & allows your outfit to shine. I will note that they tend to run a tad snug, so you may want to consider sizing up a half size.
