Hello friends! I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend! Mine was busy as usual. If you caught my Insta-story, you know that I spent Friday doing some major rearranging at home. Because we live in the same city as our parents, we rarely have guests sleep in our guest room. Actually, I think we’ve had one overnight guest in the 4 years that we’ve lived in the house. Now that Patrick works from home full-time, he has taken over the third bedroom that was originally our shared office. So, over the weekend I moved the bed from the guest room & began the process of transforming it into my very own office space! All I need now is to move my larger desk in so I have move room to spread out & work!
Today I’m sharing some of my latest fall make-up faves since I’ve been getting a lot of comments & questions about what I use. I have gotten so many compliments on my eye makeup lately, so here’s my secret – Jaclyn Hill’s video “Go To Look Using The Jaclyn Hill Palette!” It’s the most perfect fall eye ever & she makes it so easy to re-create. Now on to some of the products that I’ve been loving lately!
BareMinerals barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation. I wore BareMinerals original loose powder foundation for years & was looking for a new, full-coverage liquid foundation, so I was super excited to try this new one. I am in love! I use the It Cosmetics Foundation Brush & the foundation goes on smoothly, without streaking. It’s lightweight, but still full-coverage, so I don’t feel like I have a ton of make-up caked on. It’s also a matte formula, so a light dusting of translucent powder is all it takes to set my make-up. I’ve been wearing it all day to work, without having issues with the foundation sinking or sliding into creases or wearing off.
Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Eyeshadow Palette. I won this palette in Emily Gemma’s giveaway last month. I’ve pretty much stopped using other palettes & individual eyeshadows since it arrived. It has every color I could possible need, making it so easy to throw in my bag as a one-stop palette for any look. It has a ton of neutrals in matte & shimmer for every day, but also a great variety of fun colors & glitters for nights out too. The colors are heavily pigmented for amazing payoff & they go on so smoothly! Plus the palette is only $38! I mean, seriously? That is such a great deal for a palette of this quality.
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. I have been a long-time devotee of the original L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, but people have been raving about the new Lash Paradise so I decided to give it a try. I have tried so many expensive, designer mascaras & this drugstore find is hands-down one of the best mascaras that I have ever used. You get the same great volume as the original, plus extra length & a dark black pigment to make your lashes stand out even more. I especially love that the brush separates my lashes, keeping them from clumping up.
L’Oreal Brow Stylist Shape & Fill Pencil. I’ve only recently begun filling in & shaping my brows as part of my everyday make-up routine, but it’s been a game changer. It’s amazing how much more put-together my entire face looks! I picked up this drugstore pencil to start with & may stick with it for awhile. It’s mechanical so there’s no sharpening involved – win! And there’s a built in spoolie brush to tame unruly brows after filling. The triangular tip makes it so easy to quickly fill in your brows, but also get all of the angles right. It comes in 3 colors: blonde, brunette, & dark brunette, so matching is a snap too.
