Hello all! We’re in that weird transitional time here where I’m really ready to break out the fall fashion, but the temps are still in the high 80’s/low 90’s. For these times, I start migrating toward darker colors but keep them in hot weather silhouettes, like this black floral dress from Yumi Kim via Rent the Runway, & adding layers like a denim jacket. The deeper colors make a look feel a little more fall, while still keeping you cool when it’s warm out.
I have shared my love for RTR several times, including here & here, but I want to do a quick review for anyone who doesn’t realize that Rent the Runway is so much more than ball gowns. So, why do I love RTR?
- Wear more, save more! In 2019, I wore $22,641 worth of designer clothes & accessories for a fraction of the price. I’ve cut back on the amount of clothing that I purchase.
- Great designers, tons of options! With thousands of options from major designers & labels, I never run out of things to wear. I’ve rented items (including dresses, tops, pants, & bags) for work, date nights, vacations, & WFH.
- Sustainable fashion is in! Rather than wearing something once or twice & then getting rid of it, I wear an item a few times & then send it back for something new. The item is then sent out for someone else to enjoy, helping us all create a smaller footprint.
RTR offers 3 plan options: 1 swap per month, 2 swaps per month, & unlimited swaps. You can see the detail on all of their plan options here. Every plan includes free shipping, insurance & cleaning, so you never have to worry about returning items. Use my code RTRFAM066BF7 to get $100 off 2 months of RTR’s 2 Swap plan (That’s $85 per month vs. the regular price of $135/month). It’s an easy way to try RTR – you’ll get two shipments of 4 items to use whenever you’d like throughout the month.
