We made it to December friends!  As most of you know by now, this is my favorite time of the year.  It’s so festive, with parties, get-togethers, lights, presents, & the general cheerfulness of the season! Unfortunately, Patrick has been sick & I’ve been under the weather, so we’ve been lying low this weekend.  We got the house decorated for Christmas last weekend, so it’s been nice to spend a weekend at home enjoying it before we get too busy with holiday parties, even if we’re both kind of sick.

It’s been unusually warm here, so I’m getting lots of use from my lighter weight sweaters & while I enjoy that, I do wish I could be getting some use out of my cozier sweaters & scarves.  Is anyone else having this issue?  Since my work dress code is business casual, I wear a lot of pants & am always looking for some that are work-appropriate but more interesting than your basic black.  I recently picked up these pinstriped pants from Banana Republic & could not wait to share them!  I think it’s best to let a patterned pant be the statement piece of a look & keep things more simple on top, like this soft blush sweater.  Now, simple doesn’t have to mean boring – case in point, the voluminous bell sleeves on a solid color sweater.  To finish off the look, I added statement earrings, a wrap bracelet that I picked up at a Stella & Dot trunk show, & flats in coordinating colors.  If you love the look of Rockstud flats, but not the high price, I’ve linked up an amazing dupe at a fraction of the cost!
