Hello friends! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day & enjoyed your long weekend! I’m back today with another long round of book reviews since it’s been 2 months since I’ve done one of these. Today’s group is a mix of thrillers (because you know I can’t stay away from those) & some general fiction. I’m finding it harder & harder to be wowed by mysteries & thrillers lately, it seems like I can’t find one that truly surprises me. This group had some really great historical fiction though, like Lilac Girls & Daisy Jones. As always, I’m looking for recommendations so let me know what you’ve been reading!CONTINUE READING
Happy Friday guys! Is anyone else ready for this weekend to be here already??? It’s been a busy & long week. We had a small dinner party on Wednesday night to belatedly celebrate a dear friend’s birthday & ended up playing Cards Against Humanity. I have not laughed that hard in a long time! It was so nice to catch up & let loose a little in the middle of the week. Tonight we’re having a girls’ night to celebrate one of besties’ on her birthday, but it’s a surprise so no details here!
In honor of the long weekend, I wanted to share some of my favorite red, white, & blue pieces that are perfect no matter what your plans are. I have this Madewell tank in 3 colors because it just that good! It’s also on sale for just $12.99 in the prettiest pink. A white denim skirt is a summer classic & this striped maxi dress has been on my wish-list all spring. Memorial day weekend is one of the biggest sale weekends of the year, so I’ve also rounded up some of the best sales for you to shop!CONTINUE READING
Happy Tuesday friends! I’ve been a little absent around here & on social media lately – I spent several weeks having horrible, daily, tension headaches, so I was pretty much coming home from work & going to bed most days. But, I think that we finally have them under control now & I’ve had a few headache-free weeks now! Patrick & I have been working in the yard. His mother is a wonderful gardener, so she helped me pick out plants & flowers, then helped me put everything in the ground. I am hopeless in the garden, so I would have been lost without her! Patrick is in charge of the lawn & he works so hard to keep it looking amazing.CONTINUE READING
I realized the other day that, despite frequently getting compliments on my complexion, I have never shared what I do to keep my skin looking its best. My skin is slightly oily & not prone to breakouts, so I feel like I kind of hit the genetic lottery there. That being said, as I get older, I am worried about wrinkles, sun spots, & loss of firmness, so I’m more careful about my routine. Keep in mind that everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me may not work for you. It’s also important to listen to what your skin needs – sometimes it’s a little more sensitive, or needs more moisture, etc.CONTINUE READING

Happy Friday friends! I got my Spring 2019 Box of Style a few weeks ago & wanted to share, because it was a really good one! I started receiving the Box of Style in Fall 2016 & have been anxiously awaiting my new box every season since! The Box of Style is a specially curated selection of fashion & beauty finds from Rachel Zoe that retails for only $99.99. The Spring 2019 Box contained almost $500 worth of products, so it is such a good deal! And who doesn’t want items personally selected by Rachel Zoe? In support of International Women’s Day, the Spring 2019 Box contains 5 great items from female-founded brands.CONTINUE READING
I have reading up a storm lately, so this set of reviews is another long one. All in all, this was a much better set of books than my last one! I was also lucky enough to receive two pre-releases, so a big thank you to Lake Union Publishing! (I’ve noted those for reference, &, as always, any opinion is strictly my own.) Finally, if you want to keep up with what I’m currently reading at any time, I added a Goodreads widget to the sidebar! Now on to the books!
